Welcome to Mrs. Ferrone's Art Room
Dear Student Artist's Parents & Guardians,
My name is Mr. Ferrone and I am so happy to be your child’s art teacher! I have over 18 years of experience as a classroom teacher in the elementary grades. I was able to follow my dream five years ago when I left the regular education classroom for the Art classroom. I am passionate about art education and the joy I believe it brings to us all. I look forward to a rewarding and very productive school year!
My goals for my Student Artists…
In my Elementary Art classroom, students will receive a foundation in the elements and principles of design through a mixture of art making techniques and varied lessons that are inspired by artists and art history. I will provide my students with a large variety of materials to experiment with as they learn basic art skills, techniques and styles. Each and every artist will be encouraged to grow and blossom as a creative individual. Throughout the year students’ work will be showcased, celebrated and displayed throughout our school, on this website, and in our classroom. At the start of the year, I shared with students my classroom expectations. I believe parent-teacher communication is the key to promoting an educational climate that is conductive to learning.
