Fact Fluency - what is it and how can we help?
What is it
3rd grade math is dependent on students knowing math facts, addition, subtraction, and times tables. Each topic builds on this knowledge for harder skills and equations.
How can I help
Each night, spend at least 15 minutes practice facts.
If you have a solid understanding of 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's, and 5's, you don't need to practice those as much. Try harder ones like 6's, 7's, 8's, 9's, 11's and 12's.
If you are good with times tables, move to division practice.

Search 'multiplication fact games' or 'division fact games' or fluency games 3rd grade' on the computer.
